Do you want to know a wonderful way of achieving a restful sleep full of peaceful dreams? By creating this beautiful dream pillow filled with a mix of soothing herbs, you can finally say goodbye to tossing and turning all night long.

Not only will it provide a pleasant aroma that can help you relax, but it can also help with headaches, anxiety, and stress. Plus, it’s a fun and easy DIY project that you can do at home with just a few simple ingredients.

These organic cotton muslin bags are perfect for making your dream pillows. All you have to do is put dried herbs into the bags and cinch them closed. If you don’t use all 10, the rest can be used as reusable loose leaf tea bags.

How to dry your own dream pillow herbs

It’s easy to dry herbs. Just lay the fresh plants out on drying trays or cookie sheets in the sun. Wait until the plant is completely free of moisture to the touch before putting them in mason jars. Use dried herbs in the next year for maximum freshness. Make sure to bring them in if it rains!

Dream Pillow Herbs To Use

There are many herbs you can use in a dream pillow, but these are some of my favs. Use your intuition and see what herbs speak to you. Organic, non sprayed herbs are best. The amounts of each herb don’t need to be measured, but you can smell often when you’re mixing to see what appeals to your senses.

Lemon Balm

Lemon balm is in the mint family. It’s fresh aroma is helpful for calming anxiety and inducing sleep. With its heart shaped leaves, lemon balm is associated with the divine feminine and our emotional self.

This herb mends broken hearts and lifts the spirits. Lemon balm is truly a first aid remedy because it is the first thing I reach for to bring comfort and support with shock or trauma.

Rose

Rose is a classic that is said to add love and warmth to dreams. The scent of roses is a reminder to nurture yourself.

Rose is associated with Mother Mary, guardian angels, Lady of Guadalupe, Archangel Gabriel, and Metatron. Rose is a heart opener that helps to lower blood pressure.

Lavender

Lavender is proven to aid in sleep, relaxation, and in calming racing thoughts and overthinking. It has a light, uplifting floral scent and is known for its sedative properties.

Lavender is named for the Latin word “lavare” meaning to wash. The cleansing aroma of lavender cleanses negative energies from others.

The vibration of lavender is good for connecting with Archangel Sabrael, Saint Germain, and Kuan Yin.

How to Decorate Your Dream Pillow with Herbs

Your whole family will find delight in putting their dream pillow under their pillow or in drawers. Adding a ribbon, sprig of fresh plant, or other decoration will give your gift an extra touch of charm.

Just tie a colorful ribbon in a bow where the bag cinches. If you have a sprig of fresh plant or flower, stick the stem into the tied bow.
